Hannah did not have school for a couple of days, so we left town. I picked up Beckie and we headed North. We stayed with Grandma Shirley for 3 days. She was thrilled to have our company. Friday we took her grocery shopping and out to lunch. She loved getting out of the house. That afternoon I took the kids and walked along the Snake river. We walked to the 1 mile marker, and Hannah said "I want to keep going" I told her it was time to walk back. About 10 paces later on the way back, Hannah said " I am SO tired." I reminded her she wanted to keep going.
Saturday Beckie took Grandma to get her hair done while I did light house work. That afternoon I took my crew to the Sand Dunes in St Anthony. They made sand angels, hid rocks and I had to find them, and dug holes. Caleb loved playing in the dirt. It was really windy, and sand kept getting in his eyes and ears. He wanted to stay longer, but I could tell he was sick of the wind.
That night we walked to Neal and Cathie's house. They have a GREAT slide. Can you see Hannah and Chloe's face at the top? Sunday we fixed dinner, packed and came home. What a drag leaving Grandma all by her self. I know I have family there to check on her, but I still hated leaving her.
Yes, someone got car sick. It would not be a trip to Idaho if someone didn't throw up. Caleb lost it in North Salt Lake on the way home. I guess that is the place to do it. It would have been worst if he had chucked in Idaho Falls, or Pocatello.

We can't make a car trip without one of our kids getting sick either! That's one of the reasons we drive to Canada through the night....it lessens the risk. =)
ok, I'm finally commenting....looks like you guys had a great get away. i love seeing pictures of grown up Caleb is.
