The Eyes of a Child

I am going to make you a promise. I am going to blog once a week from now on, or I am going to give up and delete my blog.

Here we go. Chloe got a hold of my camera. Here is what the world looks like from the mind of a 5 year old. This first one is my favorite. There is no view finder on this camera. It has a large screen on the back to show you what you are taking a picture of. Why she needed to hold it up to her face is . . . just funny.

This must be her favorite dog, because there were about 20 pictures just like this one on the camera.

Thank goodness for digital cameras. You can give a kid a camera and let her mind explore. If it is no good, just delete it.

She also got some really good pictures of her brothers. If I keep my promise to blog more often, you will see them soon.

Fifteen

Okay I know everyone does this for their anniversary, but I have not done it yet, so I think I will.

Last Sunday the 21st Alan and I celebrated our 15th Wedding Anniversary. Wow. Fifteen years. So many things have changed in the past 'few' years. We have only lived three different places in the past fifteen years. We have had several cars. We counted 10 that we remember. I remember 8 church callings for me and 6 for Alan. Cell phones were not popular and we didn't have them until he had been married for 5 years. We have gone on 1 cruise, and several weekend trips. Alan has graduated from the University of Utah and has had only changed jobs once. I have had three jobs and am now unemployed.

Most of important we have 2 gorgeous daughters and 2 handsome sons, and one pain in the butt dog. We were the first of our siblings to get married. We have gained 3 sister-in-laws, 3 brother-in-laws, and 10 nieces and nephews with one more on the way.

It has been an fun ride. I know it will continue for ever. I can only wonder how things will change in the next Fifteen.

Activities

I about a week ago we went to the Safety Fair. Chloe is such a tom boy. She wanted a snake painted on her face. Hannah went with a more feminine rainbow. Caleb would have nothing to do with face paint. All the kids waited in line for a balloon animal. Caleb untwisted his in 2 seconds and was trying to twist it back together. Maybe he will be a future balloon man.

Caleb loved the Police 4-Wheeler. I could not get him off of it.

In January we went with our friends the Bailey's to the zoo. It was actually quite warm. Caleb and Olivia are starting young.

The First of January (the only day we had snow this year) we went sledding with Chris and his crew. These feet are Hannah. My camera is not fast enough to catch her flying down the hill. Caleb would not wait for a tube or sled. He would just flop down on his belly and push himself down the hill with his hands.

Chloe felt jilted because her family birthday party got cancelled, so I took the three of them to Jungle Jim's. There was no one there and we had the place to our self. Again my camera is to slow to get good pictures. I have quite a few pictures of the empty car behind them on the rides.

Changes Part Two

There were no pictures of Lucian in my last post. That is because he gets a post of his own. He turned 4 months old on the first. He is too dang cute. I cannot believe how much he has changed. At his check up he weighed 16 lbs. 8 oz. That is double his birth weight.

I love his cheeks. I just want to eat them up.

He smiles and talks all the time.

Many Changes for the Kids

We have had several changes at our house the past month. Caleb is diaper free (almost). We are working on the over night thing, but he is doing pretty good. Alan got a hair cut and a shave. He was looking like Rupert on Survivor.

Hannah had to have 4 permanent teeth pulled. Her mouth is too small for all the teeth she has. There are teeth waiting to grow into the spaces that were created. After they grow in she will get braces. The Tooth Fairy was pretty good to her.

Chloe got her very own Library Card. She is so excited. The card is limited to 5 items for the first month. I will probably extend that limit for longer. I already cannot keep track of the stuff I have. She is so excited to be a big girl with her own card.
