My dad has been going through boxes at his house and sorting out all the stuff that has collected over the years. Sunday I came home from his place with a bag of treasures.
Most of the stuff is school papers and art projects. There is a poem I found that I wrote about my dad:
Smart,
Tall, and
Ready for
Every
Thing. What a
Character
He is.
No date on the Poem. I'm guessing 4th or 5th grade.
This picture is me in the 6th grade. I went to modeling school and was accepted into the McCarty modeling agency. This is an ad for ZCMI. I am not sure where the rest of the ad is. I am hoping as my dad finds more stuff, he finds the whole ad.
I also have travel notes, plane tickets, and stuff from my trip to London and Paris with my mother. Mom mentions a couple of times how dirty London was, and I agree with her. We were there in 1987. I was 14.
I have several report cards, several awards from school, and several Young Women awards. I also have a large Baptismal certificate. There are also some very tiny pink ballet shoes with my name on the bottom. I also have a ticket for the Jordan River Temple Dedication. I have no memory of that, but I guess I was there. That was in 1981. Now you all know how old I am.
I can't wait to see what else he finds!

What? Alley was a model? How did I not know that?! Did I know that? I hate my memory!!!
Work it, girl.
Funny! I may have the whole ad for you. I know I have the picture at least. I also have the same little pink ballet slippers from the same little ballet class and tickets from that same plane trip to London and Paris.
That is so fun, I would love to find little treasures like that!
