Labor Day

The kids and I spent Labor Day weekend in St. Anthony Idaho. My Grandparents live there and we try to see them as much as we can. This first picture is a Moose in my uncle Neal's yard. It was eating his apples, and making him self to home.

This is a caterpillar that the kids found. Caleb would study it for a while, then try to step on it. The girls would get mad at him for trying to squish it. He is such a boy.

Our Bar B Q on Sunday got rained out, so we ate in side. I brought a tissue paper flowers craft for the kids. However, Brett soon was using the pipe cleaner for other things. Well Grandpa Stretch's exact words were: "I couldn't let Brett out do me." He was soon making creations of his own.

I love spending time up there. Grandma and Grandpa make us feel right at home. We sit around the bar and talk, eat, watch tv, and eat. My kids get to experience caterpillars, goats, moose, birds, different kinds of leaves and flowers. My kids hardly watch tv while there. I always pack a bag of toys, but they never play with them. They are to busy washing Grandma's car, or playing tag in the yard.

I love that my kids get to experience their family. They call Grandma, Grandma even though she is a great grandma. They also call Aunt Jan, Aunt Jan even though she is my Aunt. I think after this weekend Jan may change her name. Every 5 minutes one of the girls were saying "Aunt Jan look at this."
I cannot wait until we go back. I think Thanksgiving if Alan can get it off of work. I can leave him home for Labor day but not for Thanksgiving.

That sounds like a ton of fun! That's what it is like at Codey's parents house on the farm. It is so nice to take the kids into a different atmosphere.
